Does it make a nutritional difference to pan-sear, grill, smoke, or steam oysters over simply eating them raw?
Discussion
I'm not sure. On one side the nutrients might be more available when raw, but on the other the parasites and eggs are more effectively killed. Haven't seen data but assumes it shows this. Generally speaking I would eat poached or smoked oysters and only raw when beautiful and pristine (cold water only, never gulf/tropical).
Makes sense. Appreciate your thoughts.
