It's not even an anology. How is an otherwise worthless piece of paper, worth something? By enFORCEment of its use. People not accepting it will be punished - violence. If it was really intrincially worth anything, you wouldn't need to use force. People would naturally accept it for its value.

Bitcoins value is to be non-enforcable, and still trustable.
