never heard of “steel manning” before, but absolutely 😄

did 30 minutes using Damus in landscape on iPhone one day 😂

Whaaaaa? ARE YOU MAD?!?!

trying to adapt the mentality of “enjoying whatever i’d least like to do, and that i know would be awful”, because i feel like i’ll get complacent otherwise 😆

Sounds like a Buddhist exercise tbh. We used to do stuff like that to learn separation from sensation.

huh, never heard of it. would like to learn more 🤔

Maybe we talk in nest again some time. Buddhism is a fascinating way of life.

time for sunday church nest

For your Damus landscape viewing pleasure…

Do you also browser Damus in light mode too you psycho! 😂 😂

wait till you hear that i did the landscape 30 minutes in light mode

Surprised you can still see anything

no recovery phrase for your eyes, eh?

I straight up blew a blood vessel in my left eye dude. I have to wear blue light filtering glasses at work now.

wait what?!? that bad? worried about my own eyes now 😅

I’ve been 18 inches away from a screen for 20+ years, but yeah it takes a toll.

still surprised that i even have eyes with the amount of daily screen time that i have.

damn… we need to catch up soon on nests. miss talking to you bud 💜

Same 🫂

I found small scale metalwork and jewelry making so much harder on my eyes than screen time. I did learn to “stretch” my eyes at regular intervals. Just getting up and going outside and picking objects at various distances and going through rounds of looking at various distances. If you got lost working on a small detailed piece for hours, trying to drive or see at a distance would feel impossible at first.
