It’s strange when people conflate money with American identity. Every nation needs/users money. Even if the USA has most of it, it’s not a uniquely American concept/value/thing.

Besides, the USA president is into Ripple now. Not sure how shouting “I am an American citizen” helps. Pay the guy enough and I’m sure he’ll do whatever you want. That’s how it works.

Reminds me of when I worked on a small island in the Mediterranean back in the 90s. I distinctly remember a tourist shouting “you can’t do that, I’m an American citizen!” shortly before getting the shit kicked out of them and no one batted an eyelid. That memory stayed with me. Either you dig the state or you don’t. Your choice.
