Looked at these or the Apache 550. Don't know if they'll weather the abuse.

I do have an Apache 2800 full of RF test gear that has stayed safe over many miles of dirt roads bouncing around the bed of my truck.

The Apache absolutely does I have a 3600(?) for my yeasu ft710. Not one issue totally water and dust proof.

The 550 is a clear plastic, doesn't look at all like the bigger units which just look trustworthy, and so far have been for me.

Looks like you may get dudt and water help, but not any kind of bounce protection. That would be a pass for me with radio gear.

I'm planning on stuff that rattling around won't matter. I could foam it for radio or similar shock sensitive gear.
