I gave up a while ago with I think 2 or 3 left, but I was on a pointless mission to watch all the Hellraisers (not recommended). However, I was pleasantly surprised by Hellraiser: Hellworld (aka Hellraiser VIII lol). It's obviously not as good as 1 and 2, but there is a certain charm to it, especially if you're into virtual world -themed horror and that whole v millennial 'surfing the world wide web' and virtual reality horror aesthetic. There's a few movies like this, Horror Vision (2001) and Arcade (1993) are good examples. Good as in fun, this isn't high art, but it is big fun, which is an art.

I'm not sure this is a recommendation, don't moan at me if you're mad enough to watch Hellraiser: Hellworld and expect highbrow culture please lol. I will take no responsibility here..thank you 🫡🫡😉

This is a movie that oddly aged incredibly well especially given the setting & scene. it's probably one of the few good sequels to hellraiser post 3, given you don't take it as seriously. Well, besides that reboot they did recently. That reboot was actually decent, and even had some scenes that made me cringe (in an 'oh damn that looks like it hurt' way). which is pretty rare with horror movies nowadays.

Yes the reboot was decent enough, I went into it think it would be a chore, but it was p slickly executed.

I have also not completed Leviathan the Hellraiser documentary lol. Just look at the runtime 🫣🫣 https://m.imdb.com/title/tt3317562/
