I would start at listening to his reason for stealing, accepting it and then deciding where to go next in the relationship. A true friend would at least attempt in having an honest conversation with you. Hope that helps. I hope you can move on from this.
I just discovered that my best friend in the world betrayed me today. He's been stealing from my family for weeks, hiding and watching as I've blamed others for the damage his ongoing actions have done.
