I started after you posted that first video. Episode 4 was amazing, starting a forest on literal bedrock.
I shared one video of this series earlier this week. I have now taken it all and made a full play list of the series. This is inspiring as to what can be done with very low tech approaches on very harsh land.

Pretty much what I did on my property. Soil is 3-10 inches deep then solid limestone, I don't mean chunk I mean 50 million year old ocean bedrock. Has shells in it and looks like and basically is natural concrete.
