Replying to Avatar Matt

I'm all up for the self responsibility thing. I totally dig the fact that on nostr I can simply block and move on, but I've a question;

The other day I asked if it's possible to run relays which only record and transmit data I specifically want to record, from specific people, ie; myself, friends and family.

What happens on nostr if/when the wrong'uns show up? There's certain classes of images and notes which I really wouldn't want hosted on a relay I control. Not just from a legal perspective but from a human one, there's no way I'd want to help propogate harmful material.

Are there solutions yet?

Matt, you could setup a private relay and only allow read/write to selected people. In theory if you and I were only using that particular relay, no others, we'd have a private network, to some extend.

Okay that's interesting - can you specify write only to specific people and allow anyone to read? One of the other reasons I'm considering this is because I want to know that my personal stuff on nostr is always safe.
