Because I get an error: Conflict [Amethyst].

I did when I saw that error. Colored my keys and any custom relay just in case it didn't restore those.

yep, all apps must be uninstalled when changing the installation method.

Uh... I just DLed the APK from your link (on 79.10 note, IIRC) and it asked me if I wanted to update the app (was on f-droid version) and it did its thing. I get translations, black mode, but no notifications, but, that's really OK.
