A friend of mine recently went to buy some bitcoin but decided not to because “it’s too expensive.” Unit bias. They didn’t understand, and still don’t get the concept of sats.

They’d buy $500 of Amazon stock without flinching….but Bitcoin? “Too expensive.”

We need to normalize sats like we do cents.

That is exactly what they did (not sure it was Amazon though). Late boomer/early Gen X, financially stable, already buys stock, has a portfolio, internet and smart phone familiar (not stereotypical tech dumb), engaged in trying to understand the changing world, yet couldn’t get past the concept of what “1” is in the big picture.

It’s crazy…. Just send em some good books and some podcasts and let him work through it like most of us did. It’ll click…hopefully

That’s what I do. Sats are to btc as cents are to dollars. Not hard. They don’t buy Bitcoin but it’s not because of that

not sats. bitcoin is bitcoin. 1 bitcoin = 1 base unit. #Bitcoinisbitcoin
