Sats are the smallest unit of Bitcoin. 100 Million Sats = 1 Bitcoin. We use the Lightning network here to send those tiny pieces of Bitcoin around.

You need a wallet app for that. The most beginner friendly is "Wallet of Satoshi". There is a lightning address (looks like an email) that you need to put in your nostr profile.
