If you were playing the long game fighting against people accepting different viewpoints. You would probably wanna jam it down everyone's throat at every opportunity.
Normalization is important to increase safety and continued growth of equality. Straight people are not murdered or punished for their relationships, but queer people are in some parts of the world.
