On September 18, 2024, the 45th President of the USA and a presidential candidate in the current race publicly paid with bitcoin for the first time. The presidential candidate visited the New York Bitcoin bar PubKey and treated guests to several dozen burgers, paying $998.7 in BTC. He used the Lightning Network.
