Let me give Damus another shot. I tried it a year ago, but to your point, they've prob made many updates to make it a top tier nostr experience.
For reasons I can’t quantify, but nostr:npub18m76awca3y37hkvuneavuw6pjj4525fw90necxmadrvjg0sdy6qsngq955 is better than both.
It’s just subtle differences in speed rendering, usability (1 swipe to switch between notes and notes with replies instead of two clicks on Primal), loading. A whole lot of tiny things makes the overall UX better.

I agree with everything nostr:npub1nje4ghpkjsxe5thcd4gdt3agl2usxyxv3xxyx39ul3xgytl5009q87l02j mentioned. However, the Zap experience isn't as smooth in Damus. I'm assuming this might be related to Apple App Store issues that prevent zapping posts directly or seeing the zap “transaction” within the app?
