Spent the morning with the kids at our local annual fair, The Strawberry Fete.

Found some locally made biochar and a Woolly Bush (adenanthos). Bought the Woolly Bush because a neighbour rescues native animals and orphaned kangaroo joeys love to eat the leaves. She already pops over to grab other plants for injured animals.

Fun diversion as a family, supporting locals and picking up some things for myself.

Biochars amazing stuff. If its not inoculated with worm castings it’ll be detrimental short term

This stuff is inoculated with compost and worm tea, definitely wanted it that way.

I was planning to make my own this year, but didn't get around to it before the fire ban came into effect.

Do you make your own?

Nah i bought some overpriced local inoculated stuff. Still great tho. No till is so rewarding

For sure haven't barely touched my beds in years, just add compost, manure and now biochar.

Thats the goal. Using sprouted seed teas and malted barley weekly are so beneficial and cheap tho. Some aloe too
