A study on human sun exposure is relevant no matter the sex. Caveat being higher melanin concentration will need more sun but that does fit with the study’s conclusion.
I didn’t advocate for burning. Everyone knows that’s bad, and the body tells you so by burning. But healthy sun exposure even for fair skinned people is critical for optimal health and will lead a reduction in mortality.
No need for sunscreen or to cover up every time you’re in the sun. If you’re reaching the point of a burn, of course, protect yourself (not w sunscreen). But otherwise, no burn, carry on as our ancestors did.
