The Iranian-backed Houthis in Yemen have declared a heightened state of readiness in anticipation of any potential attack by Israel or the United States—either against themselves or Iran.

“We remain in a state of constant readiness and are intensifying our operations against the usurping entity [Israel], in response to the escalating massacres in Gaza and the deepening humanitarian crisis there,” the group stated.

They also warned, “Any escalation targeting the Islamic Republic of Iran is extremely dangerous and risks plunging the entire region into the abyss of war.”
