It's time to end phone numbers as a kyc login.
I hate this dystopia where creating an account requires a carrier number with all my info and even the burner/virtual numbers are typically blocked or used up by spammers.
Just stop. Find a better way to fight spam.

You can run your own simplex relay and it will be fast. But nostr already does it. So just use DMs.
The lag you're experiencing in groups doesn't depend on the relay.
It depends on the overall congestion of the network?

It's O(n) and yes they are aware of the limitations. It was better to get some version out quick even if it's imperfect I guess. The v2 will do it better.

I mean in general for accounts. You can't make a Google account without a phone number, can't create a telegram account without a phone number. Hell, even Signal requires a damn phone number. It sucks.
Yes I understood that? I don't have a solution for the spam problem other than phone nos. in any case. Maybe more captchas or proof of work or something.
