What gives that the edge over ColdCard MK4? I see that one mentioned a lot too along with the Blockstream Jade.
Seedsigner follows a different concept, raspberry pi zero / no secure element / stateless by default
I see - no need for secure element if it’s airgapped by design, which also eliminates that same connectivity as an attack vector - do I have that right?
in my opinion it is about the stateless feature. If the device always forgets the seed, you do not need a closed source secure element
airgapped is more about the fact that you don't use a standard data connection like usb
I would say all three of those are solid choices. In my opinion the seed signer ismarginally superior because you can totally DIY build, order components independently for minimal traceability and market censorship.
I’ve been back and forth between the SeedSigner and ColdCard, I was originally leaning towards the SeedSigner due to those factors - and the fact it seems truly open source compared to the other 2 alternatives. I like the minimalism behind it; keeps it simple, keeps it secure. Ty.

Coldcard by coinkite is really great. A little unfriendly.
Blockstream Jade is way more affordable and I think it gives you QR codes to scan, so maybe more user friendly.
I hear passport is pretty good too.
