I think they will still have access to most of the loggings even though your VPN tells you they don't keep m. It'd be smarter just to build in backdoors instead of going through the front.

They don't mind you using VPNs if they can still obtain your data if they need to. You will have the illusion of anonymity and don't get angry at the state for infringing on your rights.
And what is the other option of going from the backdoor?
