In Ecuador, the Socratea Exorrhiza, known as the walking tree, fascinates with its unique ability to "walk". Its aerial roots act as "legs", allowing it to move slowly in search of optimal sunlight.

As the soil erodes, it develops new roots that find more stable and fertile soils, facilitating its movement of up to 2-3 centimeters per day or 20 meters per year. Although debated by some scientists, this phenomenon shows similarities with other plants, such as the Creeping Devil cactus, which also adapts by migrating in desert environments.
