We are just math. Neurons, atoms, decisions, behavior, molecules, weather models, climate, elements, stars, universe.

We are nothing but numbers.

Perhaps simulated.

God is the algo.

Frequency, vibration and electromagnetism in the mix also I think.

All of it.

Or math is sufficient, or nearly sufficient, or amazingly sufficient, to describe a detailed reality? [Math is just us]

.. number 1 is the unit in group operation under multiplication - if we multiply anything with 1 , the number doesn't change ( not even a zero )

.. zero is the unit in case of group operation under addition ( if we add zero to anything , the number doesn't change )

.. manifestation ( cities or brains ) is a multiplicative process ( not additive ) hence the log normal curve ..else it had a normal distribution..

Is that why we say God is "one" ? Mathematically speaking though - "1" is God :-)

Intelligence is a force of the universe and math is how we measure it. God is much more, beyond words or comprehension. Avoid trying to contain this "concept" will surely leave you with headache:).

Intelligence is just pattern matching and math.

That's cosmos you are describing (the logic *Logos). At the roots of Intelligence. Memory, if you wish to put your finger on it.

If you’re using math to measure math then it’s all math all the way down.

You spin me round round baby round round😀

Everything is math and/or story. Depends what language you are using to look at the universe. Everything is seen within our limitations.

Intelligence is more than pattern matching though… I like when it is defined as the capacity to adapt to situations that are new to us.

That’s just you discovering a new pattern that already existed but you didn’t know about.

Possibly. But nobody had to explain it or demonstrate it. It’s not acquired knowledge, it’s “intelligence”. True that patterns probably come to play also in the other sections of an IQ test, like verbal comprehension. Dunno, I assume there is more because I usually ace the “pattern recognition” section of the test and lose point on the rest. If it was only patterns recognition, I’d be a certified genius. And I am far from that

Yes, that is the definition.

Another is "the ability to learn, understand, and make judgments or have opinions that are based on reason".

Understanding math and pattern recognition is information some people can utilize to make sound judgements and adapt. But there are people that excel at them, but are inefficient at putting them to use in their life.

Intelligence is proven in the application.
