Why couldn’t #zaps be done using a #Venmo QR code? Aside from all the differences between bitcoin and fiat, divisibility, etc. Is it just that Venmo is not an open protocol?

Because venmo reports to the IRS here no one is reporting shit..🤣🤣🤣🤣💜

True, but is that it? Or would there be other technical limitations? Other than Venmo providing their API to devs

Venmos ledger is like the banks ladger takes a few days to confirm.. venmo paypal even cashapp they suck the need to they need to comply with the government

Doesnt paypal own all of em lol

Probably.. lmao

I thought jack was cashapp ?

Not CashApp. That’s part of Block. #[5] is majority shareholder among investment firms

Ahhh that explains why its so functional lol nothing that paypal owns or operates has interoperability with anything. Its like money goes in and stays in unless you pay their high ass fees.

Bank transfers don’t cost anything if you’re ok with 1-3 day settlement. I’m just thinking like a non-Bitcoiner would about the capability

My understanding is on-platform transfers (Venmo user > Venmo user) are instantaneously credited to the recipient. It’s only if you want to move the funds off-platform to your bank that it takes 1-3 days to settle.

It almost seems to me like Venmo could expand its use cases by integrating with a social media platform (rewarding users for their posts by scanning their Venmo QR code). But maybe there’s something I’m missing about the feasibility of it all

Venmo is like a banker we stay away.. lmao the all suck.. if you leave large amounts of money there they use to flip behind the seens like banks

How do we know what WoS is or isn’t doing with our sats that we keep in their hot wallet?
