This will sit with me. A fantastic perception. This is a new foundation of evolutional opportunity. It offers a stable structure for a complex system with greater longevity and longer cycles. The components of the struggling unstable systems will continue to die natural deaths. While the focus of resources and energy will be directed at this new base layer of this new type of system that is inherently incompatible with, and that has no need for, the old system components.

Agreed. We see so many negative emergent properties from fiat. The emergent properties from building on bitcoin are hard to imagine. I suspect in retrospect, many years from now, it will look obvious. But hard to predict from this vantage point... thanks for the feedback

Yeah, your writing initiated a conversation with my son. As I regurgitated the concept I found myself camparing systems. The microbes and creatures that rely on volcanic vents for their sustaining life source have a dark, limited, primative existence. However, the new system that grew up in parallel, structured entropy from the light energy of stars. These new products of this new system were able to sustain longer, live more broadly, and diversify their existences into great complexity. Very fun to think on. Could those creatures huddled around underwater volcanic vents ever imagine the leapard leaping into the river to snatch and eat the cayman? Love this.
