The whole tariff issue boils down to the fact that no one wants U.S. debt and Trump uses tariffs as a bargaining chip.

I will remove the tariffs if you keep buying debt (bonds) from me.

This gives you an idea of the debt crisis we are living, and by the way, China is the second largest buyer of US debt, only surpassed by Japan, but we already know that Japan is totally subjugated.

Can you imagine what would happen to Japan if instead of buying U.S. debt it had bought gold, for example?

China is also no longer buying more debt, it is selling it.

The debt crisis is monumental, but there is a solution, and it's an asset with no counterparty like Bitcoin.

Save in Bitcoin and watch from the sidelines all the tsunami of shit that is coming.

Good observation.

Seems like a fair summary thank you

No tariffs, no banks, no banking hours, no interest rates, no loads, no sociopathic megalomaniacs, new supply is unaffected by demand…

But there’s no free lunch in economics. The price we pay for the benefits above is months and months of price doldrums interrupted by periods of extreme volatility.

China is buying more debt, it is just the debt has massively increased.

β€œChina has significantly reduced its holdings of U.S. Treasuries in recent years. At the end of December 2024, its portfolio stood at $759 billion, the lowest since February 2009. This represents a decline of approximately $557 billion from the all-time high of more than $1.31 trillion reached in November 2013. β€œ

I understand they have been buying through intermediaries such as the UK. That's why the UK number looks higher but it's really China.

But #bitcoin has been created on the ashes of a financial crisis, hasn't it ?

So it have been made for theses purposes.

If fiat didn't failed his purpose bitcoin wouldn't be so popular.

Nakamoto was a genuis, a visionnary man and focus on a good project nobody trust in, when it was born.

A million thanks to him and the team of people that have work (and still work) on this worldwide project.

It was the first worldwide project that have so much impact on the world.

It's a warming faith they have given to us, we are lucky for that.
