I disagree with Core on OP_RETURN but I wouldn't use Knots for that alone.
They should punt on this non problem IMO.

Why does OP_RETURN need to be changed this very moment?
It doesn’t, but it seems the developers are pushing ahead with the change despite the pushback. They plan to merge it into the next release, v29.
