No I was using zeusnuts for free and they rugged me on the custom address
I have zeusnuts setup on my phone. I didn’t pay 80K for Zeus+
I had it to but they rugged me

They didn’t rug you. They gave it for free for a while so people could try it out. But I get it it’s frustrating

That’s the minimum donation you can give. Some could give more. The point is that if Zeus is too expensive, there are other services out there

It wasn’t “free”, it was a trial to get people to try it. If you like it you pay. But that’s not the only service they provide for 80K. There’s the 20% discount on purchasing liquidity for example. Free trial is not the same as free
I didn’t realize it was a free trial until they changed my lightning address without me even knowing about it
I don’t know how it was presented when you had the free trial, but when I go into the lightning address section I clearly see an upgrade to Zeus+ button
O well I was a Zeus maxi until they yanked my lightning address without me even knowing about it for a couple days

Because I was unaware that my free trial expired
Point is tho that if anybody wants a custom lightning ⚡️ address you can pay Zeus 80k

It was their policy that the people who had opened a channel in the past got their custom address. They later changed their policy when they introduced Zeus+. The information was available. I don’t work for Zeus and I know 🤷🏾♂️
I still have multiple channels open with them and I’ll probably still use them and keep them ….

I had a custom lightning address with zeusnuts. A custom handle that I’ve been using for a long time
The past few days people have been trying to zap me and it wasn’t working
So I missed out on a lot of zaps
Because they changed my shit without me even knowing about it
To a random address
I then tried to change it back to my original address… but then realized I would have to pay 80k to do it….
So I set up a custom address on Minibits for 500 sats that’s pretty reasonable

I agree with you. If you just use Zeus+ for the custom address then 80K is too much. That’s why I said earlier that maybe it’s not the right service for you. I feel like the 20% on purchasing liquidity is a solid deal if you use it. And access to new features

Thats a very good point. Reroute any address you use to your custom nostrplebs address that you can use as your ln address. And nostrplebs is only 12.5K sats one time. You can keep using your zeusnuts not custom address and route it to nostrplebs. Problem solved

With nostrplebs you would have 'simplynostr@nostrplebs.com'
And then whichever lightning provider you use you could point it to that address
Look at my profile. I set it up. The address is node@nostrplebs.com and it sends the zaps right now to node@walletofsatoshi.com but it could be to any other address of my choice. I would just have to change it in my nostrplebs account
