I use:

puravida.Nostr.land

eden.nostr.land

Nostr.wine

nostr.naut.social

Great results with all of them!

Only those? I'm considering adding public relays for posting only since I'm only using paid relays myself ATM.

I don’t want to have many relays … I find that if I ho above 15, my battery drains very quickly …

Makes sense, more relays = more traffic, my relay isolation FOMO has gotten out of hand I guess.

You will get the spam back. With filter.nostr.wine you shouldn’t need free relays. If you are afraid of being disconnected, add a few more paid relays: https://relay.exchange/ . Thanks #[5] for the list!

I only want to write to the free ones to extend my reach. I don't know if they are being used at all anymore though.

Ok I check the filter.nostr.wine documentation and you just need to add the ?broadcast=true parameter and you will be posting to the free relays as well.
