Yesterday I started writing a pitch for Tucker Carlson. He’s going to launch a channel “on Twitter” which means he’s beholden to that platform for his digital identity, content distribution, and payment rails.

Why not add Bitcoin payment rails? He can throw up a QR code in-video, add BTC payment to his site, and republish to Nostr for Zaps. Ensure he has control over at least that part and isn’t at risk of demonetisation.

Given the interviews he has done I figure he’s already a hodler and if I could make it easy for him to accept Bitcoin, and benefit from another platform in Nostr, he might be interested.

Seeing this today, Im even more convinced it’s a good idea:

Is tribel a real thing? I've never heard of it.

Yes it’s a leftist version of Parler essentially.

Talking about Bluesky? /s

I'm happy to let the mainstream crowds bicker over their platforms, oblivious to nostr for the moment. It is better this way. Fast adoption onto a system that is quickly evolving would just sour the normies who wouldn't be able to put up with our dynamism (or "breakage").

I feel a big shift happening , there are a lot of folks I know who for some reason will never separate them selves from the political divide , they are now favoring #[2] , this will , I hope, wake them up from the illusions they have that make them woke.

Whether he does it or an anon bot reposts his content on Nostr, someone will. If he wants the zaps from it, he should do it himself.

Just look at #[2] doing that on Nostr and they aren’t affiliated with the “real” Twitter account.

I’m sure he has no idea about nostr and doesn’t care either, but i reckon he’s orangepilled and anti-establishment enough to see that a Bitcoin avenue that he alone controls would be beneficial if he’s going independent.
