i finally set up an assistant on my android phone (#FOSS ofc)

the default TTS didn't work for me, but using [SherpaTTS](https://f-droid.org/packages/org.woheller69.ttsengine ) worked wonderfully

you can also do cool things like custom wake words ("hey jarvis" "hey glados")

as well as configure the voice through sherpa

Does your client support Markdown in kind 1 notes?

It shouldn't, it's highly non-standard.

Really not good.

I thought you might just have been using Markdown syntax because it's familiar, but Nostr clients aren't supposed to support it in kind 1 events.

well at best it renders, at worst it's a plain text format

I understand, and Markdown is easy to parse mentally, but it may create issues if users expect it to be a standard.
