I’ve spent quite a lot of time thinking about CBDC’s over the last few weeks. My current thinking is that CBDC’s are a necessary stage in our move to BTC as the global reserve asset.

The rollout of CBDCs against the will of the people is likely to drive people towards the use of Bitcoin. The push for control over people's financial lives will lead to a desire for financial freedom and independence, which Bitcoin offers.

As more people adopt Bitcoin, the state control apparatus will weaken, leading to a shift in power dynamics between the state and its citizens. It remains to be seen how this will play out in the long term, but one thing is clear: the rise of CBDCs will inevitably lead to the continued growth and adoption of decentralized digital currencies like Bitcoin

The move of bitcoiners to Nostr is a direct reflection of this, just on a shorter time frame. We saw the censorship on Twitter and moved to Nostr. As the masses see the censorship that CBDC’s will bring they will move to a better monetary asset.

It’s inevitable.
