I feel like every week I hear about, at least, two school shootings or stabbings on the news. I don't understand why people are so against the police. People hear about a few corrupt officers and they become convinced that entire police departments are like that.

Everyone thinks it can't affect them.
I felt like that, too, until today. Getting closer.
It's pretty wild how the media has affected people's views on law enforcement. I have an old high school friend who's a cop. A good one at that and he knows plenty of other good cops, he tells me. He also told me that a few years ago his precinct alone had almost 600 applications in just one year. In 2022 it dropped to less than 50. Also that he's received plenty of death threats and has been spat on on numerous occasions by people he was trying to help. 🤷♂️🙄
