During the persecution of Christians under the Roman Emperor Diocletian, #Hieromartyr Evangelicus, the Bishop of Tomis (modern Constanța, Romania), was arrested for his faith. He fearlessly confessed Christ before the authorities, refusing to renounce his beliefs. After enduring horrific tortures, including being thrown into a fire, he remained steadfast. Finally, he was beheaded for his devotion.
