Again, state of mind. Do you really think a 700lb land whale is free? Do you really think people who are literally addicted to their phones are free? As I said, there are people in prison that are more free than a large portion of those not in prison.

if we look at it, there is no "complete freedom" in a finite and restricted world.
it's all various degrees of confinement and restriction. Even if you live in a relatively " free " jurisdiction, you can't have all the things you want and you can't avoid the things that you don't like. and then maybe you just get sick and die anyway.
The idea of freedom is important and the yearning towards it essential.
but let's not fool ourselves that it's something that we actually accomplish as a society.
If looking at freedom in the physical sense and nothing more, nobody is free. We all need permission to leave our repsective plantations (country).
