Seriously considering Dubai as the next move. Any thoughts?

British Hodl likes it there
Ah interesting. The missus just got followed by a crack addict in broad daylight in a nice small French town. Final straw man.
Yeah fuck that shit. EU is done
It's so unacceptable and far gone. The first time I visited Paris in 2017 I had just pulled off the motorway and got harassed at the the lights by some migrants, trying to pull of my wing mirror because I didn't have money for them, and the food I offered wasn't good enough.
Paris was a shit hole then, can't imagine what it's like now.
I haven't been for years. It's spread throughout all the cities and it's small rural towns now. Everyone has given up. There's no hussle or endeavour. Stuck at mediocre wage and standard of living forever.
Dang. I'm supposed to go to one of the rural towns up north later this year, I wonder how much has changed. So sad.
But those who are awake to this have a chance to leave now before it's too late, so we have that going for us.
It's got to that point for me. Leave now or go down with the ship.
Classic communist move lol
I think there are better and cheaper options.
And do visit first before deciding
Such as?
El Salvador, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, probably some more South American countries but I can't say for sure.
Dubai just seems expensive and artificial
I get those options but want safety and economy too.
Lived in Indonesia for 2 years and never felt unsafe. And the people were always super friendly
Fair one. Asia seems a bit of a style change too far for me but never say never.
Normally you'll know after you visited the country you're interested in.
I also never thought in my life I would ever go to Asia, let alone live in Indonesia, but I really miss the country and I will for sure go back.
If you got some wealth and aren't a total degen you can live out there pretty comfortably. Lax taxes are a big benefit.
The laws can be strict, I know a number of people who experienced the heavy handedness of applying the laws to foreigners.
I can just move my remote business. Taxes go from 50% to basically zero. Strict state is something to tolerate for sure.
Definitely take a trip there and see if you can speak to anyone who moved there for some insights. It's not cheap, and the culture would take some getting used to, but it hasn't been allowed to be infiltrated and destroyed like they have in Europe.
Know a few people and they're totally sold. Mostly expats, safe and vibrant economy apparently. Easy doing business. Some religious conservatism would suit me fine tbh.
From what I’ve heard, it’s safe and a nice place to live. But it is expensive. Could be worth it but definitely should visit before making that decision.
