Generally enjoy your takes but struggling with this one. I’m all for being present for my children, but I don’t see the need to be rude to others to achieve that.

In my worldview this is not rude in the slightest. If the other party perceives it as rude that’s on them.

I see it similarly but different. I'm talking about setting boundaries for the kids. It's rude to interrupt people when they are in the middle of a conversation. If you wait until I'm done you will get my undivided attention. But you have to stick to that last part.
