I grew up poor with a single mom.
Ate a lot of beans on toast during that time.
Ive been fortunate enough to do quite well in my life, but I still have beans on toast every couple of weeks to stay close to that time.
I quite like it. I like it a bit better as cheesy beans on toast. Or cheese on toast with beans 😽
