This is so true. After going on Twitter, I either feel angry or depressed. On Nostr, I actually feel hopeful about humanity and believe that there’s people out there that genuinely want a better world for everybody.

For sure! I mean, I’m a realist. I completely get the world is still broken, and evil definitely exists. But being aware of the worst society has to offer, from everywhere, all the time thanks to an algorithm designed to maintain your attention (mostly through outrage) so it can show you ads?

Evil exists. It’s out there. But I’m done allowing it an unfettered portal into my thoughts.

Thanks man! You’re right, there’s certainly a lot of evil in the world. But it’s so nice to also be aware of all the great work going into decentralised protocols and the community’s work towards a fairer financial system! Fills me with a lot more optimism and hope rather than being fed tweets about the worst in society
