How many pounds? I'm curious.

Our half was about 250 lbs of meat, plus I requested all the fat so I can make beef tallow, the bones for broth, and the organs for the dogs. Ended being $6.40/pound, which is a good price for local, well raised beef. The steaks are unbelievably good.

That's a lot of meat!

Sure is! If my husband harvests a deer this fall, we'll probably give most of it to a neighbor lady who lives alone and cant get out too much. She asks us every year if we have extra venison.
