There's a chance we end up in WW3 because no one was willing to take the first step in de-escalation, despite having ample and sound justification for escalation.

The only one speaking up and taking actions, talked to Zelensky, Putin, Erdogan, Biden and Trump was the Hungarian President Mr. Orban but he got hammered by EU parlement president Von der leyen and other EU PM. Diplomacy is the only way forward, obviously some other “forces” seem to be preferring an escalation rather then avoiding it.
