Happy Birthday, Bitcoin Paraguay! 🎉

One year ago, a small group of passionate Bitcoiners dreamed up the idea of creating a Bitcoin-only community right here in Paraguay. Back then, we had no idea where this journey would take us, but we dove in with big hopes and even bigger determination.

What a year it’s been! We’ve faced ups and downs, but our shared dedication to making this project thrive has pushed us forward. Together, we’ve onboarded over 30 merchants, sparked Lightning network adoption with more than 200 new users, and grown our WhatsApp community to over 400 incredible members. Our monthly meetups have become a staple, with our latest one bringing out over 150 of you, plus two to three exciting side events each month.

A huge thanks to our amazing volunteers who’ve worked tirelessly to build this community from the ground up—your passion is our backbone! And to all our community members, thank you for joining us, sticking with us, and making Bitcoin Paraguay a true family.

Looking forward, we’re fired up to scale our efforts with more meetups, greater adoption, and an educational framework to welcome even more people to Bitcoin. Here’s to celebrating our first year and charging toward an even brighter future together!
