I read in a book of old gardening lore people used to tie it to their tools because it helps you stop bleeding if you cut yourself. I have had a quite a few times to try it out since then and it works pretty much instantly from when you first apply it. Its really amazing how effective it is and if you follow up with some comfrey and calendula your back to gardening pretty soon after.
