No, not a troll. To keep cut flowers longer you should cut the ends before putting them in water and add aspirin to the water. These days the florist usually gives you a packet of something similar with the flowers when you buy them.

wow, aspirin of all things?? I always thought those flower packs were sugar. (maybe it's both?)
I bought a bunch of these packs and have been using them but I can almost never get flowers to last more than a week or so, whether I trim them or not.
Interesting. I'll have to research that. I'm usually able to squeeze a few weeks out of those Chilean lillies.
