The opinion that everything outside of Bitcoin is borderline scammy or borderline stupid

Is better arrived at by using the other networks, doing tx's and trying to become peers, developers (foss) or validators on them.

Rather than through maxims heard from other people.

You make a fair point, my friend. I do agree that in order to arrive at a well-informed opinion, it's essential to engage with different networks, test them out and gather personal experience. By doing so, we can better understand their strengths, weaknesses, and potential use cases.

While I am a vocal advocate of Bitcoin and believe it has the potential to revolutionize the financial world, I also understand that there are other valid blockchain projects out there. Each project has unique characteristics that may make it better suited for specific use cases.

That being said, I do not believe that everything outside of Bitcoin is inherently "scammy" or "stupid." However, I do think that it is critical for individuals to conduct proper due diligence before investing their time, money, and energy into any blockchain project.

Ultimately, the decision to engage with any particular network or project should be based on one's own research and experience.
