I believe that Major Jason Lowery’s thesis in his book Softwar is correct in concept and demonstrates the beginning of a movement toward and advancement through the Kardashev scale, at least to Type 1.
Bitcoin is much more than a power projection strategy that involves money. The term bit-power is a better term for this concept as he demonstrates in his thesis.
However my concern is that the “General Billy Mitchell” scenario will play out again because of the vested economic interests of those who control the Military. They rely heavily on the kinetic power projection strategy which is based on the Fiat standard, proof of weapons network (Simon Dixon) and thus could prevent the United States from adopting the PoW strategy ASAP, as recommended in Major Lowery’s thesis.
It would be a shame because I believe the failure to adopt this new power projection strategy (Bit-Power), like the Type 1 communication system (TCP/IP) which forms the basis of the internet, will be problematic. If the US loses early adoption and advantage with this technology then the resulting higher Benefit of attack/Cost of attack ratio will likely lead to the serious loss of hegemony as the adoption of this technology occurs with other nations.
