I like the idea of "open source" money and the source of a decentralised messaging protocol. I think it would be great if more people used this stuff.

What I don't think is that it is going to save the world. Some Bitcoiners remind me of many Linux users (I use Linux).

Many Linux users will claim that it can do everything and do it just as well as MacOS/Windows. That isn't true. It has a bunch of trade-offs. Those trade-offs are either worth it or aren't worth it.

You know that proverb - "beware what you wish for, it could come true". You know how 30 years ago in Linux community lot of people dreamed how Linux was going to push Windows out of business. It never happened. But we got in the meantime Android, which is based in Linux but not the thing everybody dreamed, quite the opposite. I hope it is not going to happen to crypto.
