WoT on Amethyst is based on the Trusted Assertions NIP, which allows you to choose your own WoT provider and use any equation you desire to compute the scores. The scores are personalized to your user and activity on Nostr. You can even self-host your own instance to create the scores in any way you see fit.

So you self-host a node to cook the whole graph and then query it through a plugin? (Or use a third party trust provider?)

Yes, you process the graph and outputs nostr events, which clients display.
