However, this study suggests that loyal individuals may be more likely to be targeted for exploitation in the workplace. Managers may assume that loyal employees are willing to make personal sacrifices, leading to unfair treatment. Additionally, workers who agree to be exploited may gain stronger reputations for loyalty. The study highlights the potential negative consequences of loyalty and raises questions about its value in certain contexts.
