Japanese banks are going full KYC turbo mode or is it just because I’m a foreigner here ?

UFJ and Mizuho calling me on my phone to check “unusual” movements and asking me about my “line of work”.

Told them I was in the process of creating my own country and was selling residency and citizenship for 1 kidney and 3 BTC.

It's been this way for at least 20 years, if not longer. Anytime I wanted to send any amount of money overseas, I had to tell them why. Same for receiving wires. They wouldn't credit the account until I physically went into a branch and explained what the money was for. And "because it's my money" wasn't an acceptable answer 😂
